I think it won’t take 300 years to discover all those Amazon tree species; it’ll just take another 10 or 20 years to clear out that forest.

How does one know how many tree species there are if they haven’t yet been discovered?

On Barro Colorado Island in Panama, sloths have been estimated to constitute 70% of the biomass of arboreal mammals.

“Tiger-legged monkey frog”? Now I’m curious about the Monkey-legged tiger frog. Or the Monkey-legged frog tiger. Or the Frog-legged tiger monkey.

I really don’t understand why people are so eager to destroy the Amazon rain forest.

If we haven’t discovered them, how do we know how many species of trees there are?

Nonsense, let me turn a Labrador Retreiver loose in the Amazon forest and he’ll “discover” all 16,000 species of trees in a single afternoon

Some of these unique species depend on a very fragile ecosystem. Wouldn’t take much to cause them to become extinct. :(

That waxy substance comes in handy when a bunch of frogs get together after the nightclubs close

I live in Washington State, where the sky is always leaking. I am going to raise tiger-legged monkey frogs, harvest the waxy substance from them, and spread it on my body.

Those trees will be discovered REAL quick if massive deforestation continues at the rate it is going now.

If they know how many species there are surely that means they’ve already discovered them!!
