Guess Peekaboo wouldn’t help me keeping the squirrel out of my hazelnut tree. Lil bugger cleaned me out last year and he’s already wise to the firecracker noise. He just looks at me and laughs!
some day i really must vid the muppet terrier pup playing with my cats on the waterbed … love the squirrel, love peekaboo and the probability is that if cuddles and peek were introduced correctly, they’d have a high old time playing with each other. (still don’t understand why if you dislike cats you bother to read this when the cat’s in it … bemused in the wild wild west.
My aunt had a little chihuahua+Yorkie+? mix named “Peanut” that loved to chase cats, even thogh the cats were usually bigger than she was. My aunt tried to break her of the habit, but nothing worked (I suspect it was too much fun for her). At the same time, a homeless tomcat adopted my father. “Tommy” was a big cat, 20 punds of lean solid muscle, fierce looking and an expierienced fighter, but he loved people and dogs — a real cuddle-bug.One day, Tommy was in the house and Peanut tried to chase him. She barked at him and jumped at him, but Tommy simply sat there. Finally, Tommy got tired of the noise. He casually strolled up to Peanut, put a front leg over her shoulders, pushed her down and licked her ears to show how much he loved her in spite of her noise. Peanut squirmed but couldn’t escape. When he was done, Tommy let Peanut up. After that Peanut waasn’t afraid of Tommy, but she was cured of trying to chase cats.
Ordinarily, I love cats. They are citizens, while dogs are slaves. This does not mean I don’t love dogs, too, because I do.However, then again, there is Peekaboo, and in THIS Case, all I can say is,“GO CUDDLES, GO CUDDLES, GO CUDDLES!!!”
I know for a fact, because I am in the same situation, the dog, cat and squirrel are good friends. The only thing missing from this strip is the Robin that keeps beating her wings against the window to get out dog to come out and play.
When I was a kid, we had a little grey girl-cat that loved to sit at the end of our walkway and wait for a dog to try and chase her. Saw a lot of dogs who refused to walk along the sidewalk in front of our house after that first encounter.

The other cats would have a field day with this. Not easy to live down.

Just because the squirrel beat Peekaboo up the tree doesn’t mean he wasn’t afraid and is only now acting brave.

If Peekaboo hadn’t run away, the dog couldn’t chase her!
