Pasquale: Sorry, Meemaw...Momma can't hold the phone!
Pasquale: If she lets go of her feet...she'll fall flat!
Meemaw: Let me talk to her now, Pasquale!
Rose: It's an exercise, mom! I'm fine!
Meemaw: You don't sound fine!
my parents just became GREAT grandparents AGAIN for the 12th time yesterday … the great grandkids call my mom “geema” and my dad “geepa” (82 and 91 respectively)… I think my bro and sis-in-law are just regular “grandpa” and “grandma” (his 3 girls have all the kidlets) … I haven’t the foggiest what I call those kids …. my “grand niece or nephew” or what? Definitely not in a hurry for my daughter or son to be parents, that’s for sure. Trying to get them out of the house first.
I had a first cousin whose grandkids called her “MeeMaw.” I had mine call me “Grandma.” Some of my friends want me to use something different, but I like Grandma fine. A friend of Swedish descent uses “Oma.” My mom’s mother, however, was “Granny.” She had nine kids, labored over a wood stove on a farm, ended up with a back shaped like a question mark, and was a real Granny. (Apologies to any glam grannies amongst you.)

The bow yoga pose. It’s difficult but manageable. But what I could never do no matter how many times I try is the crane yoga pose. That one is insane!

What would MeeMaw look like doing that pose?

Oh that’s a fun pose.

We do that in yoga class. And then roll onto our side while holding it and then back up. Then to the other side and back up. Good core exercise!
