    Ahh, yes. The first day of Spring. Too bad I can’t put away my battered snow shovel yet. For, you see, I live in the Northeast, where we are expecting 3 to 5 inches of that awful white stuff by the time I get home this evening. This Jimbo envies that Jimbo.

    I notice that the correct season comes in for them exactly when it does on the calendar. Too bad it couldn’t happen that way in real life.

    Sharon HayesIt is called thermal lag. It takes awhile for the earth to absorb enough spring solar heat to radiate it back into the air. Likewise in the fall, it takes awhile to cool down in reduced solar heat.
