Jimbo: I don't think they realize...
Clem: How are you, Pasquale? Over...
Pasquale: My feet are cold! Over.
Jimbo: Those walkie-talkies have a range of five miles.
This looks like a situation where some adult decided it was a Good Thing for the boys to play outside, and it’s so cold they really don’t want to be out there. So the fact that they could be further from each other is the farthest thing from their minds…
Like any parent would let a kid 5 miles out of their sight these days? Not like the 60s, get on our bikes with lunch and be back at dinner…poor kids these days
Before there were cell phones, a friend and I would communicate with one another using a walkie-talkie while traveling in our own cars when going to dog shows.

Those walkie-talkies will have to suffice until they’re old enough to get cell phones.

I remember the cheap walkie-talkies that you couldn’t even be in the next room because it was too far away.

They could do this identical strip today, using cell phones. More likely texting than talking, but the same principle.
