Good reason not to watch TV in the living room, it’s the office, the kitchen or bedroom for us. The only time we normally watch TV in the living room is while putting up and taking down the tree – and then we watch DVDs as we have no cable service in the living room (why pay monthly for a TV used once a year). I even keep both versions of “The Lion in Winter” in the TV cabinet instead of in the DVD storage chest husband made as it is about the only DVDs watched out of the hundreds we have that ever seem to be watched, even if only at Christmas.

Best to go with the tradition and nod off too. Then they can chide you for falling asleep during the movie.
