On an entirely tangential, but barely connected topic – every pizza chain in the country had a delivery network long in existence before the pandemic along with, in most cases, an on-line ordering and payment model. They have apparently completely failed to exploit this with local businesses allowing for all of these other services like DoorDash to come up. In my neighborhood alone, there is a Pizza Hut, Dominos and Garlic Jims in strip malls that have, respectively half a dozen or more other small restaurants that don’t have this capability. Since the infrastructure is also in place it would have been a great business model that would have helped ALL of them.

I hope that he got calzones because I have had the misfortune of receiving a hot gooey pizza shipped in the vertical position.
