I’ve seen years where two rows of green beans and two rows of tomatoes would give you enough to sell and still have enough left over for personal use.

I love Jalepeño, but I’m more a Habanero fan. So sweet and distructive♡.

Jalapenos are for pussies. Grow some Bhut Jolokias……then you can say hot.

Not having a green thumb particularly – what sort of climate is needed for growing jalapenos?

I’m surprised these chili aficionados haven’t considered growing some habaneros and other fine hot peppers

Save a row or two for poblanos. They stuff so nicely. And they’re great in scrambled eggs.

she should distribute them throughout the garden instead of dedicating rows to them and putting all the other plants on one side. Spicy peppers are actually an excellent deterrent to pests because of the burning sensation they cause (it is after all an adaptation to ensure that only birds eat the fruit since they’re how the seed spread)

I think she’s being generous with the lettuce, green beans, tomatoes and carrots.

One pepper is too many. Stick with the traditional vegetables and leave the destructive stuff out of it.
