I love the old cellar stair entrance – just like at my grandparent’s house. The original lyrics of Say Say Oh Playmate contained the line “Slide Down My Cellar Door” you can see what they meant. Those cellar doors are mostly gone, so few now understand and the lyrics of the clapping game have changed.
