Still something to be said for snail mail and the waiting and anticipation of something coming monthly or seasonally. Instant gratification isn’t always necessary….
Do they have comic books that make you happy to get them? I stopped a long time ago because the “comic” books were getting so depressing: dark, gritty, nasty even.
I learned quickly that things are generally disappointing and not to excited over them. As an adult I do excited when the bills come though – I love writing checks so much fun (parents both accountants – played accountant as a child, at 12 I started working for my dad adding up payroll books for him).

Boys will be boys (both of them)… girls too!
I bet Vicki wouldn’t jump over a seed catalog, unless it’s while riding her Harley.

I had the same reaction when my Pogo #1, Dell 1949, arrived from EBay, for $15!

I would have thought Rose would be more likely to get her kicks from the latest Harley-Davidson catalog.

New stereo equipment catalogs do it for me.

The drop shadows behind Jimbo and Pasquale give the cartoon a weird one dimensional look. They look like cutouts.

Rose really knows how to curb her wild side.

The bliss is obvious when you enjoy small things in life.
