Another reason we love our village. My wife & I walk to shop or get the mail most every day; and we average two or three conversations with friends.

This is true. Yesterday we took our younger daughter to college orientation. While we were milling around surrounded by strangers, one of our girl’s close circle of friends showed up with his parents! It made all of us feel better.

Now adays so many people are looking down at their phones while walking that they will never see anyone’s face.
