I’ve found that a parent rarely has time to his or herself. Seems to go with the territory.

I think he needs a lesson on alone, like maybe a Dennis the Menace alone time?

Ah, sweet childhood “logic”!

Peekaboo has taught him well.

Try going to the bathroom alone when you have a 10 week old puppy. Not happening.

He wants to do what he was told but he loves her too much to be away from her. That’s how I felt about my mom

My son use to do that.Once I told him it was nap time and he said “No nap”. I said fine but it’s not for you, the nap time is for me. If you can be quiet, you can stay with me otherwise you can keep playing in the living room. Well he hated being alone anywhere so he came with me, stayed quiet, and he fell asleep anyway and we both had a good nap.

I just got up a while ago and could use a good nap.

My spouse used to shoo the kids away from me for the first half hour after I got home from work (12 hour shift) That’s just one of the reasons we celebrated our 41st wedding anniversary this month; the little things really do add up!
