We had a real beauty of a large spider right outside our living room window for several weeks. Two days ago we lost her, looks like she got eaten by something as the web’s all torn up.
Back in college, got up one morning, got in the car to go to class. Looked go the right and apparently a large spider made a huge web between the two front seats. The spider was inches from my face. Exited vehicle post-haste.
I was raised in the Shenandoah Valley. They have both Black Widows and Brown Recluse spiders. As a toddler, you learn to exit the closevicinity of ANY spider immediately, and come back (preferably with an adult who can identify it) to see what it actually is.
If it’s a harmless garden spider, shoo it into some sort of container and take it outside. An inverted glass and a small paper plate works well for this little chore. If it’s a poisonous variety, that’s the time to dispose of it … … more permanently.

Just encountered a large spider. Couldn’t catch him(her?) so stuffed a tissue in the crack where it appeared.

Best martial arts teacher is walking into a spiders web.

Anyone putting up fake cobwebs for Halloween should take a look at my garage to see how it’s done by real spiders!

Aw…….It was just looking for its soulmate. That way it could become a newlyweb.

Just send all the spiders that you find to France. There they can eat all the French Flies that they want.

Hmm, no garage door button or remote. Typical of the style of this strip and of Jimbogumbo’s personality.

Really? Demonizing spiders? After fawning all over and worshipping any other living thing?

I don’t find these funny, TBH, but I gave it a Like because it makes me feel superior.

A spider did that in our car in front of Gina’s face.
She had a similar response & I almost had a wreck.

It’s funnier than I realized before. You would think the spider was offering to show him its new chainsaw and hockey mask.

I like spiders. Today I rescued a yellow jacket who was having trouble flying. Moved it off the sidewalk to somewhere safe to recover.

I have a spider scream too. My husband knows exactly what it means when he hears it.

Right in Jimbo’s face. No wonder he freaked.

Bring on Vicky. She’ll just look at it and curl her lip. The spider will vamos precipitously.

So keep a broom inside the garage. It won’t break the bank.

I’m so glad I don’t have that issue.
