In Oz, he’s king of the forest. Hey, magical world; why not?

The correct term is “King of Beasts”, and it goes back at least to the Classical period – around 2,500 years ago. Panthers are jungle cats – either black or spotted to hide in shadows. Lions’ coloring is suited to semi-arid grasslands with clumps of trees for shade. They are too big to hunt in anything but open ground. When my cats look in mirrors, a lion is what they see.

This (black-and-white effect) happened to a couple strips several months ago. Some days later they came back and corrected them. Here’s todays strip…

And elephants are NOT afraid of mice and they forget a lot of things. Apes and monkeys did NOT evolve into humans. And pandas are related to raccoons not bears.
