Ah, yes, it is. It’s part of why we’re a social democracy already. We’re just picky about what we consider social services provided by the government. Those who think we’re on the road to socialism because of modifications to health care that leave the private sector mostly in place are trying to close the barn door after the horse’s grandfoals were born.

Eliminate all socialism. Pothole? Find a hardware store, they have asphalt patch. If someone wrongs you, hire a private detective. When he finds out who it was, hire a hitman. Put out your own house fire. Forest fire? Move, quickly.

We pay taxes. The rate goes up every year. We still have potholes in roads. We have bridges falling down. We have cuts in services for fire departments, schools and social services. We still have homeless people. We still have hungry people. And police? Forget about it. A pizza can get to your house faster then most police departments – especially in neighborhoods that need them most.

Meanwhile, Congress and the House regularly vote themselves pay raises and tailor high dollar benefits for themselves at our expense.
