They knew the job was dangerous, but they didn’t have to pay for the plane ticket over there out of their own pocket. The money had to come from somewhere.
I don’t think they are being humorous about the deaths, they are bringing to light a great point about free vs paid and why we should be paying for our news. Me thinks some people are a little touchy today.
