I eschew choices too. At the fancy coffee jernts, I ask for a “small coffee.” No vente crapafrappa with marshmellows for me.
This reminds me of the last time I went to a certain Peets in DC. I picked up a bag o’ beans and needed it ground. The woman asked me what I was using it for. I said to refill k-cups. She said “what grind?” or something like that, and when I said “ground” she started offering me choices (like 40%, 70%, 85%, chili flakes…). I looked at her and said “it’s too early in the morning” and I put back my beans and left. I went to Compass a few blocks away. They said “oh, #5” wrote it on the can, and I was introduced to wonderful coffee.

I would not be surprised if there is actually a chocolate bar with Kalamata olives out there.
