People do not know how to deal with death and they don’t want to. I sadly speak from experience over the last 2 years, too much death in too short a period of time. Even the Doctors have trouble with the “information” when my wife died in March and the called to inform me the Doctor said her heart and lungs stopped, doesn’t that always happen when you die. I mean the first thing anyone does is check for a pulse and when MIL died in August her heart had stopped and they did CPR but her heart and lungs also stopped later. We don’t know how to deal with the deaths and the grief and it makes it harder for the ones left behind, sorry to bring you down but it is the topic of the strip.:(
The lesson children need to learn from the death of a pet is that the death is only the smallest part of the experience they had together. Those good times never went away; you will always have them.
