Thoughts and prayers to all the perpetually offended right wing Fox-following American Christians for the offense they suffer every Christmas season.
Years ago, before Fox was a channel, maybe a week or so before Thanksgiving Day people began saying “Happy holidays” to each other. On or around Thanksgiving Day, and for a day or two afterward, many people would greet each other with “Happy Thanksgiving.”
Soon afterward it was “Happy holidays” again, until maybe a week before Christmas Day when everyone replaced that with “Merry Christmas”, which was said right up until midnight New Year’s Eve.
For the next 24 hours and maybe a few days afterward, when folks encountered each other or spoke on the telephone for the first time since before Christmas Day, Happy New Year was the universal greeting. Merry Christmas was placed in people’s mental closets and remained there until brought out during the next year’s holiday season.

The only time anyone actually made war on Xmas was the Puritans. Yup. Ultra conservative Christians.

The real war is on Thanksgiving, because it doesn’t make enough money for the big corporations.
