Mom. It's so cold. Can we turn the heat on? No. Put on a sweater. Please mom. I can see my breath. Layer up! I'm still cold. Too bad. I'm going to freeze to death. Don't be so dramatic. Mom. I have literally turned into an ice mummy. We're not turning the heat on.

In my house, it’s the exact opposite. As soon as we start getting a serious nip in the air, mom sets the heater to “blast furnace”. The constant transition between hot inside & cold outside usually leaves me sick for a week or two.
