Wow. Very relateable once again! The only thing I kept from when I was below 10 (When I was 6) to now is my first stuffed bear. It was given to me by a beloved kindergarten teacher called Mrs. Giblin or Giblen (I never remember how to spell her name) who pretended to be Santa Claus at 12 AM to give that bear to me. I’ve since kept the bear as a memento of the good times I had back when I lived in Australia. It sucks that I lost contact with her since I left Aussie over a decade and a half ago…
Awwwww, this gives me the feels. When I was about one, my mom was pushing me through the store in a stroller and I spotted a stuffed dog toy and pointed to it and said “dog!” It was my first word! Of course she bought it for me, and of course I still have it. It is thread bare and worn, and has had several different button noses that I used to chew off. We have been through a lot together.
Can confirm. I was given a stuffed Pac-Man doll immediately prior to a significant surgery at age 6. I brought him with me into the operating room when told I could do so, and he came with me for every surgery after that one, up to and including one at age 23. I’m now long past even age 23, but I still have Pac-Man.

A disadvantage of being number 3 of 7 children: everything I had as a child was passed on down the line.

I have a blanket with a plush dog head: Blue. We’re been together since day one, and that ain’t ending. Ever.
