Actually, this strip hits the mark. Everyone loves to build and hates to maintain. If we spent a fraction of what it costs to build new on maintenance, our infrastructure would not be in the sorry shape it is. Politicians misdirect maintenance taxes into their own pockets and the pockets of their $olvent $upporter$ and into projects which will but them the most votes.
