I’m Catholic and I’ve always considered the accession to have been more like a tractor beam.

This is a complete misrepresentation of Theo-physics, and I strongly object to this portrayal in this comic. Theo-physics is a highly-respected, well-established field involving the acceleration and bombardment of Theodores in a controlled environment. It’s the only known exception to the laws of thermodynamics, in which Theordores can be destroyed. We can also create them in breeding reactors.

And yet, not the weakest argument trying to reconcile religion and science.

Real scientist will admit that they don’t have all the answers.

There is a perfectly rational explanation for everything. Making up those explanations is absolutely a real field, but also the province of crazy old men with tenure. They are not mutually exclusive states.

Science is reproducible. Insert bread and fish bladders into a battery of test subjects and see if they then weigh the same as a duck, and if they bloat with fish stink three days after death. Use evangelists, because those are easy to come by.

Just reading the first panel made me laugh out loud. Religion is funny, except that so many people believe the dogma. (insert dog pun in your reply)

This theory sounds fishy to me.
