I love an old New Yorker cartoon of the Metropolitan Museum of Cat Videos with crowds of people moving up the stairs, parked tourist buses, and haphazardly parked cars. So true!
Domenico Scarlatti’s “Cat’s Fugue” from the 18th century, was supposedly inspired by the composer’s cat, who walked across the harpsichord keyboard.
My father used to play that on the piano when I was growing up. He took it in stride whenever a cat would jump on the keyboard. No videos back then, though.
My grandpa, from Italy, played the accordion all the time! Him and his buddies would gather in the basement in the wine cellar and drink homemade wine and eat dried sausage, and biscottis grandma made!
Cats were popularized by the Internet because people got to see the wide variety of behaviors that cats can exhibit. If you invite someone over to watch them do it, a cat will just hide under the couch. :)

Mozart-level cat videos. Live on stage. No video. And from the peanut gallery, a really small cat. Life is so much better now.

The kittens on the keyboards were rather sheepish. It took a lot of guts to play. One could say … intestinal fortitude.

Writing is a form of art, which shows one’s ability to express their talent and feelings and to put it down on paper.
When they stopped teaching Cursive writing, it was the end of self expression and style!

Lord Fluffington? Almost as funny as the Marsha Stewart commercial with the cat named Baron Von Fluffy Bottom!
