I wish businesses would allow warmer indoor temperatures so we could somewhat acclimate. If I use the car AC on my commute I set it at 77-78°F but the office is 70°F. If the office was 75°F or higher it would initially be miserable, but we’d acclimate. I’ve worked on the floor of un-airconditioned factories over 90°F, 75°F wouldn’t be that big of a burden.

So far, this summer here has been cooler and wetter than normal.

It’s so hot, I’ve gone through three polar ice caps, and it’s not even August yet.

It hasn’t even gotten to 90 degrees here yet so far. When I was young, we would have already broken the 100 degree mark by now.

Summer’s getting hotter, at least from my perspective.

It is a version of The Red Queen’s Race. You have to run faster and faster just to stay in place.

The punch line is a lot funnier if you imagine it’s being said by Stephen Stucker, the actor who played “Johnny” in the movie “Airplane!”.
