Instead of Maxwell’s Demon, we have Maxwell’s House Demon?

I’ll remember Leopold’s feedback strategy for my next review!

I’ve been practicing whittling, but I’m not sure it will have the same effect on my boss…

i hated those performance appraisals, they were all phony … the supervisors HAD to give good ratings otherwise they had to spend hours writing all the negative things about the employees,

I hated WRITING performance appraisals (once a year - mandated by federal law then). Something negative ALWAYS had to be found about each person, or, where I was, it would be “Oh? This employee is perfect? Let’s do an in-depth here and see what we have”, etc. Simpler to write “sometimes “X” is a big poopoo head” and then argue a little with “X” re poopoo head. Appraisals were meant to be a GOOD thing, originally, but, of course, with corporate and government involvement…….

You might want to fill that with holy water first, Leopold. (Or do they make holy coffee?) And it would be interesting to see who these performance reviews go to.
