I saw a news item the other day how the South Korean government is trying to keep quiet during the Winter Olympics that there are 30,000 farms in SoKo breeding dogs for food. But they do distinguish between pet dogs and food dogs. (“Who’s a good boy! You are!”)
I know that people on going to jump all over this, but here goes. Everyone complaining about dogs being eaten in Korea, China, and other places need to stop. Yes, dogs are pets here and most of the Western Hemisphere, but they are not considered pets every where. We eat cattle and in India they are sacred. To them it is horror that we eat cows. Vegans complain that anyone eats meat. I have pet fish and two aquariums, should I get on the news and complain that people are eating fish? Get over the fact that some people eat dog meat and realize that when you are really hungry, you’ll eat about anything. When I was in the Marine Corps and downed in the jungle, I ate everything that I could wounded catch and kill. I ate bugs, snakes, frogs, plants, etc. You know some of those things were really tasty and I wouldn’t mind eating them again.
