Been there done that! What I don’t understand I have to buy my shoes from the doctor and they too have running, hiking, etc. which is so silly as I am in a wheel chair, (I can walk very very little) and will never do any hiking or running or tennis playing. I do like the lidea of bunny slippers but only for around the house.
Rampant consumerism at its worst. Used to be able to get a good pair of runners for under $50 (I remember getting them for about $10). Now, you have to get a dozen pairs, one for each type of running you are doing, and each pair is more like $200. Can we hit the reboot button somewhere?
When I found out my left leg was an inch short (most of us are +/- a half-inch) the shoe lift was $100 on my own old GI Brogans, at the orthopaedic place. Then I found an ordinary shoe repair guy who could do it for $30. Now more like $50 on my Rockports, but not looking back.

That’s the problem with most generations. They’re very sad-intery.

I have the ideal thing to wear for sitting. It’s called bare feet. Sometimes I wear them for driving as well.

———————————————————————————— The authors should have used that line in a 3rd panel. It would have been better.
