The car on the rack isn’t Cosmo’s DeSoto, it’s some other hapless customer’s car. Cosmo is just there looking for his laptop, and learning he should find a different mechanic.

Cosmo’s DeSoto almost surely has a Hemi. And what’s the box say on the bench between Irv and Cosmo….does it say “bi valve”? As in a clam?

No, they discontinued the Hemi in 1958. The 1959 DeSoto had either a 361 or 383 wedge head engine depending on how many horses you ordered.

( The Chrysler 300E had the 413 wedge with a high speed cam and two four-barrels. )
