    Lady Godiva’s husband was Leofric, the Earl of Mercia. Supposedly, she’s one of my ancestors, but I lost the info my cousin gave me on the specifics. Once my husband learned that, he’s been wanting me to replicate her protest.

    Actually, Chikuku, Lady Godiva was still alive at the time of the Norman Conquest. Her son was Hereward the Wake, a leader of the Anglo-Saxon resistance.
