Same reason they never shut off their headlights, or take the keys, or close the door to anything because it’s all FAKE Skyler. Except Jersey Shore, all real.

Because they do it before they turn on the TV.

Actually, KLCS ( PBS Los Angeles ) has a homework hotline program. ( But I’ve never looked at it. I’m far too old to need it! )

I think I recall Beaver having homework, and may be the Dougless boys from time to time. (for the age challenged, My Three Sons)

Cosby’s kids all had homework issues at one time or another, the biggest being Theo Huxtable’s dyslexia.

It’s like going to the bathroom: nobody really wants to see that. Although, you always heard Archie Bunker going to the bathroom.

I had a reversible plug put on our TV and I kept the half that completed the circuit in my purse. They didn’t get TeeVee until I saw their homework and chores were done.

I wasn’t always popular, but I got results

As cold at home as in the classroom. Low temperatures affect your thinking.

Skyler is far too young to remember or have even heard of all the family sitcoms of the past where indeed homework was discussed and done. Study first, car crashes later.

How about in old movies when they get in the car on the passenger side and scoot over? Just crazy man.

Sorry but by the time I finished reading the comments I’d forgot what the comic strip was.

Hey I saw both Wally AND The Beaver doing homework.

But I do not remember Rick or David doing any.

(Go back aways, Nelson Family watchers.)

TV Shows on network TV rarely show people doing work. They don’t want to drive workers away. When someone is “at work”, they usually portray him as gone from the scene being shown.

The ideal of the artist is not having much work to do, but having a large salary. This can’t happen, but they think that if they portray it enough times, it will happen. The problem is that the economy can’t support such a lifestyle.
