talk about ad placement … guess Diet Coke wouldn’t donate anything … I think mythbusters confirmed it must be Diet Coke and white Mentos to work properly … other sodas don’t work and something wrong with colored mentos … wierd, huh?
Maybe ‘Skylar’ isn’t as absent of intelligence as I thought hewas. And ‘rmacprivate’ it has been more than four years and we keep voting the same ones in over and over and over to where they think they are perfect and can’t do anything wrong.
SS is NOT an unfunded mandate, it is an EARNED BENEFIT! And if Congress would leave their money-grubbing, earmarking war-mongering hands off it, it would be FINE! Since the schedule for 2013 is supposedly set, and they are only working 126 days, I submit they should be reclassified as “part-time” workers, and have ALL benefits and perks taken away. No fancy houses or restaurants, night clubs or golf outings. Let them eat cake (crumbs!)
“Unfunded mandate” is normally associated with Federal laws that make the state governments foot at least part of the bill. Social Security is a transfer payment from younger generations to the older. The older generation puts money into the system but takes out more than it put in – hence the cost to younger taxpayers. Even if Congress left the Trust Fund alone there would be no way to avoid this. Since the Baby Boom was followed by the Baby Bust, we have a problem.
Congress does not have to do anything. Spending cuts and Tax increases will automatically go into effect in a few weeks. Wait… they don’t want that to happen, do they? ha ha

Congress and working together shouldn’t be in the same sentence, unless it’s a trick question.

Why? They haven’t done a thing for four years and counting.

If congress continues to do what they do best – nothing – the deficit crisis will be over in less than a month. And no one will be happy.

Congress has worked together, every time they vote on a pay raise. Of course, the other party made them do it.
