I once worked at a very upscale restaurant who prided themselves on their extensive ( and pricey ) wine selection.
What always amused and amazed me was that, while the bottled wines were presented by the somelier, with all the appropriate care, the house wine came out of a cardboard box !

Two-Buck Chuck is $2.99 at Trader Joe’s. Box wine doesn’t spoil once opened, that’s why I finish the bottle at the same sitting.

Went to a wine tasting party once. I really preferred the less expensive wines over the high priced wines. Guess I am not refined.
