Times have changed, as have people’s attention spans when it comes to listening to public speakers.
It is a rare orator, who can hold an audience enthralled for 60 minutes, let alone 83 !
I have a friend who is an excellent preacher. His sermons ( or talks, as he prefers to call them ) last no more than 20 minutes, tops. His reasoning is: If you can’t cover all your material in less than 30 minutes and get your points across in an interesting and informative way in that amount of time, then you’re not properly prepared.
