Was that because you were both mentioned in the past tense? For I, for one, haven’t heard of Martha Stewart for some time. And all the store’s that carried her stuff have closed down, (K-Mart among others).
I think it wasn’t the conviction that caused Stewart’s downfall. It was the fact that people finally realized that following her wasn’t the path to enlightenment, happiness, and contentment with their lives. I suppose she fell out of fashion, as well.
