Having test-driven a ‘59 Chrysler once I’m inclined to agree. The 1950s power steering and power brakes on those cars were, um, “exciting” to say the least. I found myself with a real close look at the instruments when I stomped on the pedal because a car was backing out of a garage blindly. I doubt I was moving faster than 25 at the time. I didn’t buy that one; it was too scary.
