I consider myself a fairly independent man but I needed a car.

So by my own accord, I decided to buy my own Accord.

Sounds perfectly reasonable to me. Especially if her kids are clones.

She’d better watch out. Some kids become independent of their parents. I’ve known many old folks who taught to their kids independence and now the oldsters are in nursing homes away from their independent children. That’s so sad to see.
