    Great nostalgia. The old-fashioned bathtub (like I remember in my grandfather’s house), including the old wind-up record player (with the speaker horn, on the left). I think I see a kitchen sink in there. Also notice how he drew each panel separately…he didn’t just copy the bathtub with all that stuff in it for each panel like some cartoonists would do today.

    I remeber my grandmother’s tub had lion paws at the base.

    Years ago I bought an old three-story gold-rush era house in the California gold country and it had an old cast-iron tub with claw feet, like the one above, in the main bathroom. I loved that place and that tub!Unfortunately, a few years later, my company transferred me out…had to sell the house.

    I’ve heard those claw-foot tubs keep the water hot, as they’re made of cast iron. There are junk dealers around that sell them. Be aware they are very heavy.
