My family use to travel around the country in a home made camper that was slightly wider than most cars. My dad was no speed demon, but he was never the cause of a traffic jam, but even so, when we got caught in slow traffic people behind us would assume that we wee the cause because our camper was too big for people to see the rest of the traffic before they tried to pass us. I remember several times when someone would go to pass us and the driver would start to give my dad the finger, then he’d see how many cars were ahead of us and sheepishly slip back into line behind us.

Those hands would be extending one finger each if not for the censor.

I learned to drive on my Dad’s 64 Chevy. I’m all of 5’1". Needed a pillow to see out.
