A German version of this scenario was two mafiosi who through sacs of cement into a lake. The guy who stands in that lake (the water goes just up to his belly) says: „FIRST you pour the concrete, THEN you through him in”. One of the mafiosi responds: „First getting into dept, then smartassing, hen?”
