    Given the exceedingly slow pace of a snail and the inevitability of the tides, we have to ask about our perspective from the drawing. How far is it from snail A to Beach House C? Then, can snail A even live long enough to make that journey? Is this merely a wistful snail, pining for what might have been his fairy tale reality?
