Over roasted/charred coffee beans should be banned, not labeled “French Roast.” It’s no excuse for burnt cheap beans. Good quality strong coffee takes time and skill.

Back in the 60s and 70s, “French roast” meant that Dean Martin was putting Maurice Chevalier in the hot seat.

i drink my coffee with different flavored creamers. one of them is Cinnamon Toast Crunch. maybe he is flavored with French Toast creamer.

… and it probably tastes like Oui, Oui
