Hooray! A desert crawl cartoon! The rarest and most elegant form of cartoon cliche. Some of my faves over the decades:
The connoisseur: “Chateauneuf du Pape ‘94. Chateauneuf du Pape ‘94”.
The masochist: “Peanut butter and crackers. Peanut butter and crackers”.
Man with a hotdog on a bun: “Sauerkraut. Sauerkraut”.
Plus many variations involving golfers in sand traps, dogs and toilets, etc. But only about 1/4 as many desert crawl cartoons as desert island cartoons.
