martin, beg to differ on Steve Allen—-as a teenager in the mid sixties , when Steve did several years of late night entertainment opposite The Tonight Show(which he was the first host of) I never failed to catch those HILARIOUS shows. When one of Steve’s guests claimed whatever he was doing was easy , one of Steve’s catch phrases was:’ for you easy’ and then he would crook his thumb to his chest and say ‘for me, difficult’Of course I remember Senor Wenches and his female ‘puppet’ (really a painted hand) and the head in the box ( ‘s allright!) who both had their own catch phrases ….but I assure you that that catch phrase about ’for me difficult’ was Steve’s. and that’s a fact

@nighthawksYou’re right about Steve Allen. But Senor Winces spelled his last name something like this, not “Wenches” (LOL!).
