Inever understood why people keep exotic animals in their house. And when they get overwhelmed they turn them out where they don’t belong..Like the Everglades. or lakes and streams.
Couple of days ago, I found a baby rattlesnake in the yard. About ten inches long. Doing his best to rattle, but too young to have any yet. Pissed off, of course. But actually kind of cute. Turned him out in the tall grass out where there are no houses and where he has a chance of avoiding being eaten by a hawk. Maybe if he finds his way back here one day, we’ll have one of those Nature moments, and he won’t bite me…………………….. Naw. Probably not.

The sign to the top left reads ‘beaded lizards’ — is that a new sort of cross-dresser? :-D

A friend of mine said that he would open a pet shop that specialized in reptiles, amphibians and fish. He planned to call the place “In Cold Blood.”
He had a pet boa constrictor that literally “hung out” on a bar in his closet. Apparently that’s what snakes do all day.
