I’m generally not bothered by a power set that lacks internal consistency, I’m bugged by how many Lady Super-Heroes’ powers manifest as “strike a pose, and think.” Also, super-powers often make the men who acquire them physically grotesque (albeit in a cool way), but that seldom happens to women.
(I know these are both less of an issue now than they were back in the day, but I’d imagine the double standard still exists to some extent.)
I have fond memories of Particularly-Bad-at-Archery-Woman, whose breasts were so enormous there was no way for her to manage her bow. She was a Wally Wood creation, if I recall correctly…
