The one I hate is when someone has an (always) temporary injury to one eye that requires a patch. Despite the fact that our brains are smart enough to build up a 3D model of the world using one eye, based on slight head movement, the character suddenly becomes the most awkward semi-blind person since Jerry Lewis did that gag.
