This mystified me when it first ran because I hadn’t seen the Ricky Gervais series “Derek.” Of course I was only marginally aware of Derek Jeter, which didn’t help.

I’ve never seen the American version of “The Office,” and I’m not going to watch an American version of “Derek.”
