Which is worse… the multitudinous NBA timeouts; or the NFL’s TV timeout following a score, kickoff, and ANOTHER TV timeout following the KICKOFF???

And Stanley Cup Playoff overtime hockey has NO TV timeouts (the goaler said smugly…)

The NFL time outs are when teams are changing personel, if there were no time outs then you would still have the breaks in the game, maybe not quite as long but they would still have to be there, they at least have some sense unlike the nba ones

NBA 20-second timeout is over 90 seconds long!! Their full timeout, (which is supposed to be 60 seconds) is 2-5 minutes long!! MLB RULES state that there shall ONLY BE 2 and 1/2 minutes BETWEEN the final out and the next pitch!!

If you want non-stop action, watch the World Cup Finals matches. No timeouts, limited substitution, historical animosity between national teams. For all of FIFA’s faults, this is always a great sporting event, and the most widely viewed in the world.

Sheik: Non-stop action, but as soon as a team gets one goal up, they shift into full-court defense.

    Final result, a 1-1 draw.

    Yawn.

The good news, non-stop action. The bad news, it’s soccer!!

Yup, on the excitement scale, watching soccer is right up there with watching paint dry.
