..as far as I know chew is legal.Baseball has a …er…um…history of looking the other way when it comes to illegal stuff being put into your body,so don’t be blaming the uber-union.I was at a game once when a fellow fan was kicked out for smoking a cigar…I always wondered why the same rules about tobacco use wasn’t enforced in on the field and in the dugout.
Would that not get both the boss and the union off the hook?
What can we do?The stadium has a ‘NO TOBACCO’ policy.
Once upon a time, the Fedril Gubmit gave employees outdoor smoke breaks when they outlawed smoking at the desks. In addition to the 2 union-negotiated 15-minute breaks each day. I seriously considered demanding that non-smokers get the same breaks, but I never followed through. It was almost worth it to have the stinky smokers out of the office. They went out even in the rain.
